Increased Hair Growth, Decreased Shedding, and Improved Hair Texture with PTT-6™- a Medium of Growth Factors Derived from Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Background

Stem cells can self-renew/multiply and are known to repair and replace tissue in the human body, making them one of the best healing mediums. Growth factors function by regulating cell division and survival. PTT-6TM is a superior product used to reverse the ageing of hair follicles, improving overall hair appearance.


Method

8 male patients with Androgenetic Alopecia/Male Pattern Hair Loss were selected for this study. A vial of formulated PTT-6TM was injected into areas of thinning using a micro-injector gun at a depth of 1.4-1.6mm each week for 12 weeks. These patients were evaluated with photo documentation at 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 12 weeks. They were also prescribed a low-dose oral Finasteride 0.5mg/Minoxidil 0.5mg.


Results

All 8 patients reported a noticeable decrease in shedding and strengthening of hair in the first 3 weeks and appreciable visual changes in the following weeks leading up to the completion of the 12 weeks course. Photo documentation showed less visible scalp, narrower gap, a faster rate of hair growth and better- improved hair texture – consistent in all candidates.


Conclusions

A course of injections with a PTT-6TM formulation done at the beginning of treatment facilitates and significantly speeds up the repair process in miniaturized hair follicles.
